FAMILY HIKING PATH Stegmoosalm

FAMILY HIKING PATH Stegmoosalm

From the stop/parking lot Stegmoosalm, a comfortable farm road (path 90) leads through light forest in 30 minutes to the Stegmoosalm (1,441 m) on the gentle outflow of the Birgkar. There you can watch cows, calves, and horses. Especially for children, a nice experience: watching the marmot colonies along the hiking trail. Short beautiful family hiking path! The Stegmoos Alm itself belongs to Schlöglgut in Mühlbach am Hochkönig and is managed by the farmer Anna Neureiter. As a special attraction, this alpine hut has a so-called “Palfen” next to the hut. This is a large, striking boulder, an erratic stone, with a small shrine in the wall and a bench in front.
