Every Thursday, you have the special opportunity to conquer slope no. 29 – a route that leads from the valley station of the Hochmaisbahn cable car, past the charming Hochmaisalm and on to the mountain station of the Hochmaisbahn cable car. And the best part? This route is open to ski tourers from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., while the slopes are closed to others. Imagine gliding through the glittering snowy landscape as the last rays of sunshine bathe the sky in a warm light. The ascent is rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views and the opportunity to enjoy evenings in the mountains in a whole new way. Path Conditions
The route starts at the car park of the 6-seater chairlift Hochmais in Hinterthal. Along piste no. 29 it goes up on the left side. Continuing through a short forest section following the piste, you reach the Hochmaisalm and then go uphill on the right side of the Hochmaisbahn. Just before the mountain station, you switch to the left side again. If you stay left, you reach the Gabühelhütte; if you keep right, you soon arrive at the Steinbockalm. The Steinbockalm and Gabühelhütte are open. The descent is the same as the ascent.
