Walk of Fame

On the "Mile of Alpine Stars," 38 all-time greats from national and international skiing are immortalized on 8 stations with handprints and signatures in honor of the skis that mean the world. All these ski stars trained on Peter Hörl's legendary race piste at the Hinterreit lifts and got in shape for their appearances in the Ski World Cup.

Path Conditions

Just the name of this route already sounds promising. And it delivers what it promises. Especially fans of alpine skiing will be pleased, because similar to the famous Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard, you can walk here from pillar to pillar, not only placing your hand in the prints of famous ski stars but also reading about their sporting history. The first station on the Walk of Fame is located at the entrance to Maria Alm. From here, you go through the underpass to the other side of the street and via path no. 27 up to Schlossberg with stations 2, 3, and 4. Once at the top, turn right and follow the paved path no. 27c past stations 5 and 6. Upon reaching station 7, path no. 27 branches off uphill to the Berggasthof Hinterreit and the 8th and last station. Returning to Maria Alm, follow the path and pass the Hinterreit lifts before you come to an asphalt road and turn right onto it. Then go straight ahead until you reach path no. 27 again. You will already know the rest of the way back from the ascent.
