Path Conditions
You start the road bike tour from the Maria Alm Service Centre. Cycle through the village until you reach the Hochkönig main road (B164). Turn left and cycle on to Hinterthal. Next comes the Filzensattel, with an elevation gain of around 250 metres. Continue downhill to Dienten; at the roundabout, take the second exit towards Mühlbach. The route continues to the panoramic Dientner Sattel, another climb of around 350 metres. The winding descent takes you down to Mühlbach. You’ll pass the church and the Mühlbach Service Centre. From here, it’s about 400 metres until you see the sign for the Arthurhaus. Turn left. Now comes the challenging third stage of the route: the Arthurhaus. You’ll have another 750 metres of elevation gain under your belt by then. At the Arthurhaus, you can stop for a bite to eat and top up your fluids. The ride back to Maria Alm is just as spectacular.
