Your starting point is the center of Mühlbach. Turn right after the bakery Bauer and cross the bridge. Keep left and walk past the asphalt track through the Neubau district. Below the inn Scherer, a narrow path leads over a bridge to a street. Follow this steadily uphill along the Paussenberg gallery until you reach the inn Paussbauer. From there, trail no. 79 leads through forest and wet meadows to the Pronebenalm. The path no. 79 continues via a forest road to the Hubertus chapel or the Althaussattel. Trail no. 17 takes you down via the Brennerbauer goods road back to Mühlbach.
