Path Conditions
From the church in Hinterthal (G6), you follow path No. 431 along the right bank of the Urslau towards Poschalm. At the junction to Poschalm, a steep alpine trail begins, leading you to the Bertgenhütte (biwak) and further to the Teufelslöcher. Attention: The alpine trail to the Teufelslöcher is only partially secured! Now you have reached the edge of the glacier "Übergossene Alm" and path No. 431 takes you over the firn field up to the Hochkönig and to the Matrashaus. Important: This route goes through alpine terrain and is only suitable for well-equipped and experienced mountaineers. It is recommended to be accompanied by a mountain guide. Always pay attention to the current weather situation.
