You start your hike in Maria Alm and drive by car to the former inn Rohrmoos, where you can park conveniently. From here, your challenging and scenic mountain route begins. First, you follow the forest paths that lead you through a beautiful landscape. The fresh mountain air and the impressive nature around you will motivate you to keep going. You can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and catch the first views of the surrounding peaks. After you reach the Freithofalm – an unmanaged alpine pasture offering a nice break – you switch to the alpine trail. The ascent to the pass requires some effort but is rewarded with magnificent views. From the pass, you can admire the surrounding mountains and enjoy the impressive alpine landscape.
