Snowshoe hike to Hirscheggalm
Snowshoe hike to Hirscheggalm
We start our route with the ski bus to the Keilbrücke/Fischerstüberl stop (closed!). From there, follow the cleared Eben forest road to the Ebenbauer. Then we follow the unprepared path towards Hirscheggalm. When you arrive at the Hirscheggalm, a short rest is just right! The alpine hut is not managed but is located in a fantastic, idyllic setting and definitely worth a visit – especially in winter! After the Hirscheggalm, continue towards Bürglalm. At the first junction, turn left towards the village Dienten/Lengthalalm. The path leads gently downhill through the forest and past the Lengthalalm (which is also not managed). Finally, you reach the village Dienten where we end at the Hotel Salzburgerhof. Get ready for a sporty route through the winter landscape – it will be great!

Path Conditions
We start our route with the ski bus to the Keilbrücke/Fischerstüberl stop (closed!). From here we follow the cleared Eben forest road to the Ebenbauer and continue straight ahead on an unprepared path towards Hirscheggalm. Upon reaching the Hirscheggalm, we take a short break. Although the alpine hut is not managed, it is definitely worth a visit in winter. It is located somewhat off the beaten path in a very idyllic location. Past the Hirscheggalm towards Bürglalm, at the first junction we turn left towards the village Dienten/Lengthalalm. The path first leads downhill gently through the forest, then past the Lengthalalm (also not managed), and ends in the village Dienten at the Hotel Salzburgerhof.
