Short circular hike on trail 18 from Arthurhaus

The Marmot Trail starts just behind the dairy Schweizerhütte and leads along a wide, flat gravel path over a distance of about 1 km to the "Realm of the Lazy Ones." Large information boards along the path provide fascinating insights into the life of marmots at Hochkönig. Here you have the opportunity to observe a colony of around 20 marmots in their natural environment. If it is completely quiet, you can even hear their characteristic whistle warning of danger.
