ON THE TRAIL OF THE HERBS to Steinbockalm
Start at Filzensattel and take the forest road towards Gabühelhütte. After about 1 km, you reach a beautiful viewpoint above the Haus der Stille - Puregg, where you can enjoy a magnificent view over Puregg towards Dienten. Continue your path and follow the gravel/forest road to the fork. Here keep left and take trail no. 51 through the high forest to the Gabühelhütte. After a short stop, continue to the Steinbockalm. Simply follow the forest road for about 300 m until you reach the alm. For the return, you can take the same path back or alternatively take the Hochmaisalmbahn to Hinterthal (note the opening times of the cable car). Have fun on your hike and enjoy the culinary herbal specialties at the Steinbockalm and the Gabühelhütte!

Path Conditions
Start at Filzensattel and take forest road no. 50. After about 1 km, you reach a wonderful viewpoint above the Haus der Stille - Puregg. Here you have a rewarding view over Puregg towards Dienten. The hike continues along the gravel/forest road to the fork; the signpost is on the left. Here you take trail no. 51 through a high forest to the Gabühelhütte. After crossing the meadow of the valley descent, follow the forest road for about 300 m and reach the Steinbockalm. For the return, you can take the same path back or take the Hochmaisalmbahn to Hinterthal (please note the opening days of the cable car).
