MA11 Primbach "Traudi" Trail

MA11 Primbach "Traudi" Trail

The Primbach route, which connects Maria Alm and Hinterthal, includes the Traudi and Wawi trails. Two trails leading from the highest point of the route down to Maria Alm with different difficulty levels, where the Wawi Trail located mid-route at the height of Primbach Alm is a fun up-and-down (two-way) trail with higher berms and optional features encouraging enjoyable repeat rides mainly with an e-bike, but also motivating for training cross country bikers.

The Traudi Trail is a singletrail with difficulty S2 (moderate) and leads over bridges, partly steep and partly playful curves, and flowing sections with optional jump elements from the Primbachsattel down into the valley. At the start, do not be deceived by the flatter section after the more difficult entry filter; good to very good mountain bike trail riding technique is required in the partly steep and downhill terrain in the mid-second and lower-fourth sections!

The total length of the Primbach Traudi Trail is 2.7 km plus 0.18 km transfer sections on forest roads and 0.13 km on the Wawi Trail.

Path Conditions

You can start the route either from Maria Alm or from Hinterthal via the Primbach route. Near the Primbachkögerl the trails begin; the start is recognizable by a small, steep wooden ramp which you can also bypass. Then follow the trail downhill according to the sign "MA11 Primbachsattel Traudi Singletrail". Back in Maria Alm, you can either pedal up again or return to your starting point.
