King's route for athletes in Dienten - KLINGSPITZ

Directly from the village of Dienten via the St. Nikolaus parish church on a narrow path to Sommereralm and further over the Marbachhöhe to the summit cross "Klingspitz." From there, a steep narrow path leads down to Hochkaserkapelle. Here a path leads down the ridge towards Dienten to Dientner Landesstraße/Fischerstüberl (closed!). Once there, you can take the hiking bus back to the village.

Path Conditions

In the Skizentrum Dienten car park, there are free parking options available throughout the day. From here we start the route to Klingspitz. We walk through the village of Dienten and turn right at the parsonage, up to Kirchbühel, where on the right side a path leads up the slope. From there begins trail no. 440. We follow it past the Sommereralm and later the Lettenalm over the Marbachhöhe to the summit cross at 1,988m. The last ascent to the summit cross leads on a somewhat steeper narrow path. The beautiful viewpoint at Klingspitz invites you to pause briefly.

Descent option 1:

Now it goes downhill again on trail no. 14 to Hochkaserkapelle. Here we climb over the barbed wire/fence directly on the ridge towards Dienten via trail no. 55 until we reach the forest road. This leads down into the valley to the Dientner Landesstraße/Fischerstüberl (closed!). From here, the Hochkönig region hiking bus runs daily back to the village to the starting point.

Descent option 2:

We follow trail no. 14 to Hochkaserkapelle, where we climb over the barbed wire/fence using a ladder and follow the steep path to a fork in the trail. Here we turn left and follow trail no. 55b towards Reicheralm. Past Reicheralm, a gravel road (trail no. 54) leads downhill towards the village Dienten. We reach another fork in the trail where we follow trail no. 50 towards Grünegg Alm. From Grünegg Alm, a path leads back to the church or an asphalt road to the Dientner Landesstraße where we arrive back at Skizentrum Dienten within 5 minutes.
