Path Conditions
The start of your hike is the Kopphütte bus stop. Here you will also find free parking for cars. Follow the road downhill to the former sports hall. From here, the path leads over a bridge and then along the edge of the forest. Passing some houses, the Landhaus Rieding and the Lettenalm, the route now goes slightly uphill to the Riedingalm, the first refreshment opportunity. Behind the Riedingalm, the path continues on a wide cart track towards the Riedingtal. Attention: Don’t miss the signpost on the left side of the path; from here a narrower trail leads into the Riedingtal. Before you arrive there, enjoy the views of the former ski jumps of the Riedingtal ski jumping center, which in the 1970s, under the supervision of coach Josef "Bubi" Bradl, was used by international ski jumping stars for training and competitions. Upon arrival in the Riedingtal, you cross the dry streambed of the Schrammbach. Those seeking a cooling off can follow the stream uphill to the Riedinger Waterfalls. The hike leads you along a path to the left, first a short stretch over open alpine pasture, later through a light forest. Upon reaching the forest edge, you will see the Kopphütte. From here, take the path downhill back to the starting point of the hike.
