Start your hike at the parking lot of the Aberg ski center and follow the paved path towards Hinterjetzbach. Enjoy the gentle ascent along the access road until you reach the picturesque trail no. 445, which leads you over an idyllic meadow. Climb a little steeper uphill and let the pull path guide you through an enchanting forested area. Pass the dreamy farm of the Wastlbauern and continue your way on an alpine gravel road, past the Eberlalm which is not farmed during summer, until the mountain inn Christernreith appears on your left. The route continues uphill – at the next fork, turn right and follow trail no. 445 to the next crossing. Here, take the left fork and follow the more demanding hiking trail no. 28b, which ascends steeply and eventually merges again into the broader forest road no. 445. Follow this forest road to the picturesque Grießbachalm and feel free to take a break to recharge your energy for the final ascent to Langeck. The Langeck, impressively reaching almost 1,900 meters in height, marks the highest point of your captivating hike. The descent takes you along the charming hiking trail no. 28b, through alpine meadows, past the enchanting “Steinerne Mandln” and some charming but unserviced huts. At the next junction, choose trail no. 28 towards Wastlalm, which already awaits you with its delicious herbal specialties. After a cozy rest and a stroll through the fragrant herb garden, start your way back down to the valley via trail no. 28a, which leads back to trail no. 445. This path will feel familiar, even if you are now walking it in the opposite direction, as you started your unforgettable hike on this trail in the morning.
