From the Sandten parking lot leads a steep forest road to the material cableway. From here begins the alpine trail through rocky terrain (surefootedness and a head for heights required!) to the Riemannhaus 2,177m. Further to Schönegg 2,390m another 1 hour walking time. The descent follows the ascent route.
A hike on the high plateau and descent via the Buchauerscharte (walking time approx. 5 hours) is also recommended. Overnight accommodation available at the Riemannhaus (reservation required).

From the Sandten parking lot via path no. 401A (access road to the cable car) and further via alpine trail (surefootedness and a head for heights required!) to the Riemannhaus 2,177m – walking time approx. 3 hours. Further to Schönegg 2,390m another 1 hour walking time. The descent follows the ascent route.
