Snowshoe hike to Bürglalm

Snowshoe hike to Bürglalm

You start your snowshoe hike in the village of Dienten. At the Salzburgerhof hotel, turn left where a forest road begins before the last house. This road leads you towards Lengthalalm (not managed) and further to Bürglalm. First, you walk through the forest before reaching a clearing and then back into the forest. After a while, you come to a junction – here you keep uphill and choose the left path towards Bürglalm. After about 30 minutes, you reach the reservoir pond at Bürglalm. Now it is only a few minutes to your destination. Note that the path is not groomed, which makes the hike a bit more strenuous. To bypass the ski slope, keep a little downhill to go around the Wastlhöhelift. If you don't want to walk back the same way, you can comfortably take the descent with the Bürglalm cable car. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the winter mountain landscape!

We start our snowshoe hike from the village of Dienten. After the Salzburgerhof hotel, a forest road begins on the left side before the last house. This road leads towards Lengthalalm (not managed) and continues towards Bürglalm. The path first takes us through the forest, then across a clearing, and back into the forest. Now we reach a junction – we continue uphill and keep left on the path towards Bürglalm. After about 30 minutes, we reach the reservoir pond by Bürglalm. Now it is only a few more minutes. The path is not groomed and therefore somewhat challenging. To avoid crossing the ski slope, we keep a little downhill to bypass the Wastlhöhelift. To avoid walking back the same way, you can take the descent comfortably with the Bürglalm cable car.
