ON THE TRAIL OF HERBS - from the Arbesreitalm to the Hinterjetzbachalm

Starting point is the Maria Alm Information Office. Behind the office, a path leads toward the church. Upon reaching the church, follow the road to the right, which runs directly along the cemetery wall. Continuing along this road, you will pass the House of Encounters, the kindergarten, and the primary school until the road eventually merges into the Hochkönig federal road. Cross this road and go over the bridge, following the Urslau upstream until you reach the football field. There, a wide gravel path on the right leads uphill to the Obersteghof. At the final bend below the Obersteghof, a narrower trail branches off, following a small stream to connect with path no. 27. Turn left here and follow the path to the Arbesreitalm/Mitterstegenalm. Continue along path no. 27 uphill to the Oberstegalm (not managed). Pass the alpine pasture and take the meadow trail to the right at the trail junction, which leads via path no. 446 to Gasthof Hinterreit. From Gasthof Hinterreit, keep right and follow the path. Continue on path no. 27c, passing the Peace Chapel. From there, the path leads back to Maria Alm.
