Path Conditions

The starting point is the parking lot at Arthurhaus (N6). Follow the signs of the blue gentian, which marks the Salzburger Almenweg (Trail No. 436). After a short time, you will reach the Windraucheggalm and soon after (a short section below Trail No. 86) the Riedingalm. The path continues through the picturesque Rieding valley. If you like – and it’s really worth it – you can make a detour of about 20 minutes walking time to the waterfalls in the Rieding valley. After a short climb, you will come to the so-called "Four Huts": the Schartenhütte, Molteraualm and Brandstätthütte. Follow the path and finally come through Birgkar to the Erichhütte. From here, you continue over a wide forest road (Trail No. 432) to the bus stop on the Hochkönig federal road. The bus takes the happy hikers back to Arthurhaus or directly to Mühlbach.
