MTB route - Gabühel round (route 1)

The Gabühel route is an absolute blast for all bikers looking for an adrenaline-pumping adventure! From the Dienten village center, it goes straight over the federal highway B164 up to the Filzensattel – here you have to rock the first challenging altitude meters! Via forest path 50/51 it then goes steeply to Gabühel. The first stage leads us to the Steinbock Alm or Gabühel hut – the perfect spot for a short breather and some cool snaps! After a tasty snack, it continues via forest path 50 to the Grüinegg Alm. Here it gets really cozy! The trails are a true feast for the senses – feel the waves that give you the feeling of flying over the mountains! And when you think it couldn’t get any better, the farm road back to the valley comes – here you can really step on it and enjoy the descent to the fullest! The Gabühel route is not just a route but a real highlight for all who love mountain biking!

Path Conditions

Simply follow the signs "DI 01 Gabühel route". From the village Dienten/Ski center (MTB, eBike rental and eBike charging station) we follow the Dientner federal road (L216) and the federal highway (B164) towards Maria Alm / Saalfelden up to the Filzensattel. Here at the highest point, we turn left onto the forest road Neuberg path 50 towards Gabühel/Grüinegg and follow it until the Gabühel path no. 51 junction, where we turn right and follow the path to the rustic Gabühel hut or the Steinbock Alm (eBike charging station) 300 m away. From there we take the same route back to the junction. At the junction we now turn right to reach the Grüinegg Alm (eBike charging station). From this Alm we take the paved road down to the valley to the Dientner federal road. At the road we turn left and reach our starting point again after a few minutes.
