This varied mountain bike route offers a challenging riding experience in the picturesque Hochkönig region. Over a total length of about 51 kilometers and with numerous elevation meters, good fitness and advanced riding skills are required. The route leads over a mixture of paved roads, forest paths, and challenging single trails. Steep climbs and technical sections require confident riding. As a reward, breathtaking panoramic views of the impressive Hochkönig massif await.

Path Conditions
Finale of the King's route! You start in the village center of Dienten and ride downhill to the Grünegg junction. There you turn right and follow the climb past the Grüneggalm, continuing over a gravel forest road up to the Filzensattel.
At the saddle, you ride a stretch along the B164 to the first distinctive left curve. After the bend, it goes sharply right onto the old Filzen path, which takes you down to Hinterthal.
From here, continue on the new Primbach route MA09 – with impressive mountain views of the Steinerne Meer. You have two trail options back to Maria Alm – ideal for adrenaline fans and nature lovers.
But that's not all: At the Enterwinkel junction, turn left towards Jufenalm. Continue on the paved road to Hintermoos – where the legendary climb to Hundstein begins. 12 km and a challenging 1,250 meters of elevation separate you from the summit.
At the top awaits the Statzerhaus, a magnificent view – and a checkpoint. Congratulations!
The descent takes you back to Maria Alm, where the final checkpoint of the route awaits you. Now you can also register in the finisher list and collect your trophies.
