Path Conditions

After starting at the "Trailbase Hochkönig Ultraks" (Natrunbahn parking lot) at 807m, you walk past the Natrun cable car and shortly behind it turn left up a mountain path to the Natrunbahn top station. Once at the top, leave the top station to the right and walk straight through the forest rope park towards Prinzensee. Enjoy some great uphill forest trails before descending briefly and then a short flat section to Jufenalm. From Jufenalm, after a short climb towards Brimbachkögerl, descend right following Stöckl and the Hochkönig federal road to Hinterthal. Pass through Hinterthal, and at the end of the village center, the path leads you to Mußbachalm and further to Pichlalm at 1434m, which you then leave towards Filzensattel at 1290m. Please be careful crossing the road (federal road) at Filzensattel and continue over Pureggalm at 1309m to Dienten. From Dienten, continue over steep trails to Lettenalm 1524m, Grinnköpfl 1707m, Marbachhöhe 1814m and Klingspitz 1988m up to Hochkaser 2017m, before descending a few meters and turning left onto the forest road to Statzerhaus. Great views await you over the wonderful grass mountain trails towards Schwalbenwand 2011m, before continuing over Brunnkopf 1958m via Oberstegalm to Hinterjetzbach and Arbesreitalm and then Schattberg to Maria Alm. Just pass under the road bridge and turn right to return to the "Trailbase Hochkönig Ultraks" (Natrunbahn parking lot) covering approximately 50 km.
