Path Conditions

Your hike begins in the heart of Hinterthal at the landmark Trinity Church (Dreifaltigkeitskirche). From here, follow Trail No. 431, which winds gently upstream along the sparkling Urslau stream. After about 20 minutes, you will reach a junction: turn right to stay on Trail No. 431. The path now becomes noticeably steeper, leading you uphill to the Poschalm. Although this alpine hut is not managed, it is the perfect spot for a brief breather to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

The next stretch takes you along the narrow, natural forest path of Trail No. 436, which later turns into a comfortable gravel road leading directly to the Mußbachalm herb farm. Once there, you can recharge with regional specialties and soak up the authentic alpine atmosphere. Finally, you will begin your relaxed return to Hinterthal on Trail No. 401a. This easy final leg allows you to admire the magnificent scenery one last time before arriving back at your starting point.
