Arriving at the Dientalm, a look at the cheese shelf with the homemade cheese specialties is an absolute must. You definitely shouldn’t miss a tasting! Or enjoy the lovingly prepared herbal specialties of the alpine people. For the return trip to Mühlbach, you can take the hiking bus – the bus stop is practically just around the corner from the Dientalm. This day route is a true paradise for pleasure hikers, as four huts and two summits await you along the route. You comfortably start with the Karbachalm cable car, which takes you up the first altitude meters. At the top, the Karbachalm offers the perfect opportunity for a break with a homemade herbal lemonade before you start the ascent to Schneeberg. If you want to start hiking directly, leave the mountain station of the Karbachalm cable car to the left and follow the narrow hiking trail No. 15 uphill through the forest. At the Mühlbach ski club hut the forest opens up, and you have a magnificent view of a basin floor above which the first summit cross of today's hike rises. From the mountain station of the Fellersbachbahn (not in operation in summer), the path becomes steeper and rockier for the final ascent to the Schneeberg summit. At the summit, a breathtaking view of the entire Hochkönig massif awaits you, and the next summit, the St. Veiter Schneeberg, is already in sight. Only about 15 minutes' walk separate the summits of the Mühlbach and St. Veiter Schneebergs. The hiking trail No. 15 now leads a bit steeper downhill along the ridge from the summit of the St. Veiter Schneeberg. At the next junction, take trail No. 75, which leads you through the alpine area to the Klingelbergalm. Here you can optionally take a small refreshment break. Only fifteen minutes later you reach the Tiergartenalm, where you can indulge in fine herbal cuisine. The descent to the Dientner Sattel and back to the Dientalm takes place via forestry road No. 75, where you can repeatedly enjoy magnificent views of the Hochkönig. Upon arrival at the Dientalm, be sure to take a look at the cheese shelf with the homemade cheese specialties. A tasting is highly recommended. Or let yourself be spoiled by the lovingly prepared herbal specialties of the alpine people. For your return to Mühlbach, the hiking bus is at your disposal – the bus stop is practically just around the corner from the Dientalm.
